Sales Manager (maritime/related industry)
We are looking for a proactive and digitally capable Sales Manager to be based in S. Korea. In this role, you will play a vital part in expanding the client’s presence by winning new business opportunities while cultivating long-term partnerships with existing clients.
You will combine the hunter’s mindset of driving growth and opening new doors with the farmer’s ability to build trust and strengthen customer relationships. By leveraging tools such as HubSpot CRM, OneFlow, and data-driven insights, you will help shipowners, shipyards, and industry leaders in Korea adopt sustainable solutions across IHM, ESG, and Powersave.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development (Hunter)
· Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in Korea.
· Promote Metizoft’s solutions to include but not limited to IHM, ESG, and Powersave to shipowners, managers, shipyards, and suppliers.
· Negotiate and finalize customer contracts and Framework Agreements using OneFlow.
· Explore opportunities in adjacent sectors (manufacturing, logistics, energy)
Account Management & Client Growth (Farmer)
· Maintain and groom existing client accounts, ensuring satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat business.
· Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within the current customer base.
· Build long-term, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders in Korea.
· Work closely with operations teams to ensure seamless project delivery and post-sales support.
Data Analysis & Market Intelligence
· Analyze sales and client data to identify risks, opportunities, and performance trends.
· Use Excel, Power BI, or Tableau to prepare data-driven insights and reporting.
· Translate evolving regulations (IMO, HKC, ESG frameworks) into actionable opportunities.
CRM & Reporting
· Keep accurate client records, pipelines, and forecasts in HubSpot CRM.
· Track client engagement and growth potential to support grooming strategies.
· Provide regular sales updates and insights to the Head of Sales, APACME.
Market Engagement
· Represent Metizoft at exhibitions, conferences, and client events in S. Korea.
· Strengthen ties with classification societies, agents, and industry associations.
Requirements
Education & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Computer Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Finance, or International Management.
· 3–5 years of sales or business development experience, preferably in the marine/offshore industry.
· Proven track record of achieving targets and successfully implementing structured sales processes.
Skills & Competencies
· Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
· Decisive, action-oriented, and commercially driven.
· Results- and targets-oriented mindset, with strong customer understanding.
· Able to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.
· Experience in strategic planning and target setting.
· Management and leadership ability to handle client relationships and support cross-functional collaboration.
Technical Proficiency
· Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (essential).
· Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools (advantage).
· Proficiency in HubSpot CRM and OneFlow contract management system, or equivalent tools.
Other Requirements
· Korean (native) and English (business proficiency) are essential.
· Valid driving license; able to drive in Korea for client visits.
· Willingness to travel frequently within Korea, with occasional wider APACME trips"
