Procurement Specialist
Responsibilities:
▪ Manages the full purchase order cycle, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with
company standards
▪ Supports procurement activities, including sourcing, vendor evaluation, and negotiation to secure high-quality materials at competitive landed costs
▪ Performs accurate data entry and maintains organized filing systems, both digital and
physical
▪ Collaborates with sales and operations teams to optimize inventory levels and prevent
shortages or excess stock
▪ Builds and maintains strong supplier relationships to ensure supply chain reliability and
prompt issue resolution
▪ Identifies opportunities for cost savings and process improvements by analyzing market trends and negotiating with suppliers
▪ Drives automation in procurement workflows (e.g., EDI, automated POs) and resolves
discrepancies in orders or invoices
▪ Reviews customer RFQs and technical documentation to prepare accurate, competitive
quotes for industrial components (e.g., bushings, springs, bearings)
▪ Evaluates pricing, lead times, and profitability in collaboration with vendors and sales
teams
▪ Manages quote follow-ups, updates pricing databases, and maintains detailed records in the company’s quote tracking system
▪ Demonstrates flexibility by taking on additional responsibilities to support the early-stage setup and growth of operations in Singapore
▪ Maintains unwavering adherence to safety protocols across all tasks and responsibilities
Skills & Qualifications
▪ Graduated in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a
related field have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement, sourcing, or
supply chain in industrial or manufacturing settings.
▪ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
▪ Experience working in a start-up or expansion environment is highly valued
▪ Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Mandarin or other regional languages is a
plus for Asia-Pacific/Middle East engagement
▪ Proven ability to manage full purchasing cycles, from vendor selection to order
fulfillment
▪ Solid grasp of landed cost analysis, global sourcing, and supplier performance
▪ Skilled in RFQs, technical quoting, and interpreting engineering documents
▪ Strong inventory planning skills and cross-functional collaboration with sales and
operations
▪ Track record of driving cost savings and process improvements
▪ Proficient in automated procurement tools, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and quote
tracking platforms
▪ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
▪ Effective communicator with internal teams, suppliers, and customers
▪ Capable of building strategic supplier relationships and resolving issues proactively
▪ Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable in fast-paced environments
▪ Committed to safety and compliance in all procurement activities (Professional
certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, or APICS are a strong asset)
