We are seeking a skilled CNC Milling Operator & Programmer with strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience in precision machining within a custom machine-building environment. The ideal candidate can independently set up, program, and operate Haas CNC Mills to produce high-quality components to exact specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Set up, program, and operate Haas CNC Mill using G-code and conversational controls.
• Create and modify CNC programs using Mastercam.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and machining specifications.
• Select appropriate tooling, inserts, speeds, and feeds based on materials and tolerances.
• Inspect machined components using precision measuring tools to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Troubleshoot machining issues, adjust offsets, and optimize processes for efficiency and quality.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Maintain accurate documentation for setups, programs, and production runs.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Technical diploma in machining, manufacturing, or a related field (mandatory).
• 3+ years of CNC Mill operation and programming experience.
• Proficiency in Mastercam for CNC programming.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed mechanical drawings and GD&T.
• Proficient with precision measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges).
• Experience working in a custom machine-building environment.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD for reviewing and understanding part drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Experience with manual machining (lathe/mill) is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.
• Good communication skills and a strong team-oriented mindset.
$35/hr - $40/hr + company benefits
