We are hiring a Production Extruder Technician to join a high-performing manufacturing team operating advanced extrusion equipment in a fast-paced production environment.

This is not a basic machine operator role.

We are looking for someone who understands extrusion processes, troubleshooting, machine setup, quality control, and production optimization. You will play a key role in maintaining output, reducing downtime, and ensuring product quality standards are consistently met.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Prepare and set up extrusion machines based on production schedules

• Operate and monitor extrusion equipment during production runs

• Adjust process parameters including temperature, speed, and pressure

• Troubleshoot production issues, defects, and machine inconsistencies

• Perform routine equipment maintenance and assist with repairs

• Conduct product quality inspections and dimensional checks

• Monitor production dashboards and respond to operational issues

• Support line startups and changeovers within assigned production areas

• Coordinate with maintenance and production teams to maximize uptime

• Follow all manufacturing safety procedures and PPE requirements

What We’re Looking For

Required

• 2+ years of experience in extrusion manufacturing or industrial production

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability

• Experience operating or supporting extrusion equipment

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Comfortable working afternoon shift and overtime when required

Strong Assets

• Plastics extrusion experience

• Experience with process optimization and troubleshooting

• Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial machinery

• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents

• Experience with manufacturing KPIs, production targets, and quality systems
