The Opportunity
An industry-leading manufacturing organization is seeking a senior Human Resources leader to oversee people strategy across a large Canadian manufacturing, supply chain, and distribution network.
This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for partnering with executive leadership across multiple manufacturing facilities and distribution operations while driving workforce strategy, labour relations, organizational effectiveness, leadership development, talent management, and culture initiatives at scale.
The successful candidate will serve as the senior HR leader supporting a geographically dispersed operation and will play a critical role in influencing business performance through people, leadership, and organizational capability.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with senior operational leaders to develop and execute workforce and people strategies
Lead HR initiatives across multiple manufacturing plants and distribution facilities
Oversee labour relations strategy, collective agreement administration, grievance management, and collective bargaining activities
Drive talent acquisition, succession planning, leadership development, and workforce planning initiatives
Lead engagement, culture, performance management, and organizational effectiveness programs
Utilize people analytics and workforce data to support business decisions and continuous improvement
Support organizational transformation, restructuring, and change management initiatives
Ensure compliance with employment legislation, labour regulations, and HR best practices
Coach and influence leaders at all levels of the organization
What You Bring
10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
Significant experience within manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, industrial, or distribution environments
Strong labour relations and unionized environment experience
Experience supporting multiple facilities, plants, sites, or regions
Demonstrated success partnering with executive and operational leadership teams
Experience leading organizational change, engagement, and workforce transformation initiatives
Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and influencing skills
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Preferred Experience
Multi-site manufacturing leadership experience
Collective bargaining and grievance management expertise
Lean Manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma, TPM, or High-Performance Work Systems exposure
Experience leading geographically dispersed teams and operations
Large-scale workforce planning and succession planning initiatives
