We're partnering with a leading Canadian precision manufacturer serving customers across aerospace, defence, robotics, medical device, transportation, and industrial markets.
This is an opportunity for a Manufacturing Design Engineer who enjoys taking concepts from engineering drawings through to real-world production.
Working closely with engineering, CNC machining, fabrication, and quality teams, you'll design components, improve manufacturability, develop tooling, and solve complex manufacturing challenges using SolidWorks and best-in-class DFM/DFA practices.

What You'll Be Doing
Mechanical Design
Develop detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks
Design components, assemblies, fixtures, and tooling
Perform Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews
Support prototype development, testing, and product improvements
Manufacturing Engineering
Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs), Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and manufacturing documentation
Develop manufacturing procedures and production documentation
Program NC laser and combo machines
Support CNC machining, fabrication, and production teams
Troubleshoot manufacturing and design issues to improve efficiency
Cross-Functional Engineering
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Production
Review engineering drawings and GD&T requirements
Support continuous improvement initiatives
Recommend design improvements that increase manufacturability and reduce production costs
What We're Looking For
Required
Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
4+ years of SolidWorks experience
Strong 3D modelling and 2D drafting skills
Experience applying DFM and DFA principles
Excellent understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings
Manufacturing or precision machining experience
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Strong Assets

Reverse engineering
AS9100 manufacturing environment
