Tax Supervisor – Public Accounting — Fully Remote (U.S.)
About the Role
An established CPA firm is looking to add a Tax Supervisor to its team — a senior technical role responsible for reviewing and approving the work of other team members before it reaches the client or final sign-off. This is a fully remote position and you are able to work from anywhere in the US.
Responsibilities
Review and approve client financial statements, reconciliations, and journal entries prepared by other team members
Review and sign off on individual and business client tax returns prior to filing
Identify and correct errors or inconsistencies in work prepared by staff
Serve as the final technical checkpoint across the accounting/tax workflow
Provide guidance and technical feedback to staff accountants
Communicate directly with clients on complex or sensitive matters
Help refine and document internal review procedures and workflows
Qualifications
5+ years of public accounting or tax experience, including review-level work
CPA license required or nearly complete
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Strong command of U.S. GAAP, individual and business tax law
Experience reviewing the work of others, ideally including remote or offshore team members
Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment
What's Offered
Competitive salary: $95,000 – $120,000, plus CPA premium where applicable
