About the Opportunity
A Toronto-based practice is seeking an experienced securities lawyer to join at the partner level. The role suits a lawyer with an established capital markets or securities regulatory practice looking for a platform to continue growing their client base.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise public and private issuers on securities law matters, including prospectus offerings and continuous disclosure

• Guide clients through capital markets transactions and regulatory compliance

• Liaise with securities regulators on behalf of clients

• Build and manage client relationships within the capital markets community

• Supervise and develop junior lawyers on securities files

Qualifications

• Called to the Ontario Bar, in good standing

• Significant experience in securities/capital markets law, typically 8-10+ years

• Familiarity with Canadian securities regulatory regimes (OSC and other CSA members)

• Track record of client origination and relationship management

• Strong technical drafting and regulatory advocacy skills
